Adam O’Brien -Moving Images

Adam O’Brien is a moving-image scholar and practitioner. His published writing and research focuses on questions of film style and storytelling as they relate to space and place, human and physical geography (for example, his 2018 book Film and the Natural Environment).

Adam’s film practice includes digital-video essays, which respond critically to films by re-editing their images and sounds. More recently, he has begun pre-production work towards a non-fiction film project exploring sites immediately local to Ayres House Studio.

Other current and upcoming projects include an experimental documentary about an archeological dig in Cookham, and creatively advising on a feature film about rural labour in Sussex.
