Studio Artists

Our Studio Artists form the working core of Ayres House Studios. They create, experiment, research, and develop their practices within the studio walls, contributing to the gentle daily rhythm of the space. Many exhibit nationally and internationally, teach, take commissions, and offer creative services, each bringing their own discipline, perspective, and way of seeing.

Being a Studio Artist means having a dedicated space to grow your practice while being part of a quietly supportive, steadily creative community. It is a place where focus and freedom meet, where ideas unfold, and where the shared hum of making becomes part of your week.

If you would like to apply for a studio space, please scroll to the bottom of the page, where you will find the application form. Follow the instructions in the document and submit your details there.

What it means to be part of Ayres House Studios

Membership is about being part of a supportive, creative community. We ask all members to contribute to the general upkeep of the studios, help exhibitions run smoothly, and actively uplift fellow artists' work. This includes sharing studio events, attending openings, offering occasional help during exhibitions, joining meetups and feedback sessions, and nurturing a kind, collaborative atmosphere. You can read more about these responsibilities in the application form.
